Why we built Lanzamo

Starting a U.S. company should be one of the simplest parts of building a business. Instead it’s buried in jargon, “$0 LLC” ads that quietly aren’t, and guides that assume everyone reading is American with a Social Security number. We started Lanzamo to cut through that — to give founders clear numbers, honest trade-offs, and a path they can actually follow.

What we do

• Free tools. Calculators that run in your browser and keep your numbers on your device — like comparing LLC costs across every state, or estimating your S-corp tax savings.
• Plain-English guides. How formation, taxes, banking, and ongoing compliance actually work — written to be read, not to scare you into a purchase.
• Honest comparisons. When you’re ready to use a formation service, registered agent, or bank, we compare the real options and tell you what each is good at.

Who it’s for

First-time founders, indie hackers, e-commerce sellers, and especially non-U.S. residents who need a U.S. entity to access Stripe, Amazon, or U.S. banking. If most of the internet’s advice doesn’t seem written for your situation, it probably wasn’t — ours is.

Who’s behind Lanzamo

Lanzamo is made by a small, independent editorial team — researchers and operators who navigated U.S. company formation from outside the United States and got tired of guides that assumed everyone has a Social Security number. We’re not a law firm, a formation service, or a sales team. Every guide and tool is researched from primary sources — state Secretary of State fee schedules, IRS and FinCEN publications — written in plain English, and reviewed against our editorial standards and methodology.
